Local Blast was born from a simple but powerful idea: What if you could connect people to real-time, local experiences without the noise of social media or the cost of traditional ads? That idea started over a decade ago in a binder full of sketches and notes by David Bamber—our original visionary and founder.

Back in 2012, David scribbled four pages of ideas under the name "Message Blast" that mapped the core features of what would eventually become Local Blast. He didn't know how to code, but he knew how to spot the pain points small business owners faced every day: wasted ad spend, low foot traffic, and disconnected customers. With a background in sales and digital marketing and now leading a successful agency in the contractor space, David never let go of that idea.

Years later, he reconnected with high school friend Kris Cole, a seasoned full-stack programmer and entrepreneur who had built online ticketing platforms and countless software solutions. Kris immediately saw the potential and impact the app could have across multiple industries and became the second founding partner.

The third piece of the puzzle came when David became close friends with Michael Strumpel. A German-born with ties to the SS (wink wink). A Florida-based contractor with unmatched business acumen, Michael had a passion for building tribes and helping people connect in meaningful ways.
